It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jansen Panettiere, a talented actor and younger brother of the well-known Nashville star, Hayden Panettiere. Jansen was a mere 28 years old when he left us. The news was confirmed by a representative for the actor on Monday, February 20th, as reported by Deadline. However, at the time of writing, no details regarding the cause of his passing have been disclosed. According to TMZ, no foul play is suspected.
Jansen was born on September 25, 1994, in Palisades, NY. He began his career with voice acting roles and quickly progressed to making his first on-screen appearance in Disney Channel’s Even Stevens, where he acted alongside a young Shia LaBeouf. He went on to feature in several well-known productions such as Hope & Faith, Third Watch, and the television film Tiger Cruise, where he co-starred with his older sister, Hayden.
In addition to his acting career, Jansen continued to pursue his passion for voice acting, lending his voice to the character of Periwinkle in the sixth season of Blue’s Clues and portraying the voice of Young Stripes in the 2005 sports comedy film Racing Stripes. This film also starred his sister, Hayden.
Jansen’s acting credits include Everybody Hates Chris, The Last Day of Summer, The Forger, Summer Forever, The Martial Arts Kid, How High 2, and The Walking Dead. His final performance was in the 2022 movie Love and Love Not.
Aside from his acting work, Jansen was a gifted artist who frequently shared his artwork on his Instagram page. He posted a picture with Hayden back in January, showing his sister cutting his hair. “Not the first haircut she’s tried to give me,” he captioned the image.
Jansen’s legacy lives on through his impressive body of work, his talents, and the memories he has left behind with those who knew and loved him. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
